Thomas has particular depth in defending personal injury and historical abuse claims, including acting in some of the highest quantum litigated and unlitigated claims in Australia. He has expertise in defending complex, high-exposure claims involving complex factual issues and long-tail risk. Thomas also supports clients to manage legal, financial, and reputational risk.

Thomas acts for a broad range of public liability insurers and insureds, including government departments, not-for-profit organisations, religious institutions, and education providers at all levels. Additionally, Thomas has experience advising educational institutions on employment practices liability and directors & officers claims.
