Samala has acted for and advised on injury claims for a variety of insured and uninsured clients, including owners of shopping centres and commercial premises, property and facilities managers, principal building contractors, host employers, landlords, and charitable organisations. She has extensive experience managing multi-party litigation with contribution and apportionment issues, including matters requiring thorough review of complex contractual arrangements and indemnity issues.
'In insurance litigation, we act for a variety of different clients, from large corporations to small business to individuals. I enjoy working with a diverse client base because they all have their individual personalities and preferences. They all want their stories told and there is nothing more interesting than the human story.'
The nature of injury claims can be sensitive and challenging for all parties and Samala seeks to support insured clients through the litigation process. She prefers to identify key issues in the early stages of a matter to properly assess its merits and act collaboratively with clients to develop a well-organized and effective strategy in response to the key issues.
