Roni Aloe

Roni Aloe is a Senior Associate in our Insurance & Health team and is based in the Sydney office.

Roni has over five years’ experience in managing claims under New South Wales’ CTP schemes and has represented national insurers across both Common Law and Statutory Benefits claims. He has developed a particular interest in claims involving complex physical and psychological injuries.

Roni's experience includes minor and major collisions, catastrophic injuries such as traumatic brain injury and amputation, and matters involving pre-existing conditions and credibility concerns. Roni also has a background in anatomy and medical science which gives him a unique advantage in assessing, understanding, and interpreting expert and ancillary medical evidence as well as advising in claims where the claimant has pre-existing medical conditions.

'I became interested in insurance law, and more specifically CTP, when I realised that CTP insurance, or a ‘Green Slip’ as most people know it, is more than a routine annual expense. It is a system designed to protect vehicle owners and drivers from the injuries they cause to others, as well as injuries caused to them.'

Prior to joining BN, Roni worked at some of Australia’s leading commercial litigation firms, where he acted for national insurers in CTP claims. He also worked at boutique firms specialising in plaintiff-sided personal injury law, advising on CTP, public liability, workers' compensation, and medical negligence claims.

'Having acted for both claimants and insurers, I bring a balanced understanding of each party’s objectives in a dispute. This allows me to take proactive steps in investigating and preparing claims to support early and efficient resolutions.'
