Nick Bell
Principal
Nick is a Principal in our Insurance & Health team and is based in the Sydney office.
Nick has practised in insurance law for over 15 years and acts for a range of insurers, self-insureds, and government agencies. He has extensive experience defending public liability and professional indemnity claims, including catastrophic injury, claims involving injury to minors, and institutional claims.
During his time in practice Nick has worked on matters involving not for profit organisations, schools, religious organisations, nursing homes, surf clubs, allied health professionals, occupiers of residential and commercial buildings, contractors, product suppliers and manufacturers, leisure businesses, real estate agents, accountants and hostels.

His clients include domestic insurers, third party administrators/claims managers, underwriting agencies and Lloyd’s syndicates. Nick also works with stakeholders such as retail and placing brokers and a number of insured clients, including:

- Leisure industry businesses
- Commercial cleaners
- Owners of commercial and residential premises

Nick has a Bachelor of Law from the University of Leicester in England and a Legal Practice Course post-graduate diploma. Following his move to Australia, Nick completed the LPAB Law Extension Program at the University of Sydney. He is admitted to practise in England and Wales and NSW.
Nick is a member of the Australian Insurance Law Association (AILA) as well as the Law Societies of England & Wales and NSW.
