Laura Bendlin
Principal

Laura specialises in insurance litigation with a focus on workers' compensation, medical negligence and public liability matters. She advises domestic and global insurers and their insureds across a broad range of personal injury claims, particularly within the mining, hospitality, food and beverage, and transport and logistics sectors.
Having practised exclusively in insurance law since commencing her legal career in 2015, Laura brings a strong understanding of insurer priorities and claims management processes. Her experience includes a 12-month secondment with the workers' compensation claims team of an insurer, which provided valuable insights into the operational and commercial considerations that inform claims decisions. She has also acted extensively for government and statutory bodies in the defence of personal injury claims. Laura is an experienced advocate who regularly appears before WorkCover and the District Court.
'I enjoy working closely with a variety of insurers and their claims management teams to provide practical, strategic advice focused on achieving efficient and commercially sound outcomes.'
Laura takes a proactive and pragmatic approach to claims and their resolution. She works collaboratively with insurers and claims professionals to develop tailored strategies and provide advice focused on the key issues in dispute.
