Krishna Alister

Krishna is a Senior Associate in our Insurance & Health team and is based in the Brisbane office.

Krishna specialises in:

• CTP insurance
• Public liability
• Workers’ compensation

Krishna acts for and provides advice to a variety of CTP insurers on claims under the Motor Accident Insurance Act and the common law, as well as recoverability and indemnity matters.

'I am drawn to the dynamic intersection of law and advocacy that comes within CTP claims, where I navigate complex insurance frameworks to advocate the rights of my clients. Achieving fair and efficient outcomes for the insurance companies I represent is a nuanced challenge that always keeps me driven.'

After graduating, Krishna worked for a national personal injury firm for several years. During this time, he acted for plaintiffs in public liability, motor accident, and workers’ compensation claims. Krishna has also worked at a general practice firm where he was practiced in broader forms of civil litigation, including defamation, employment law, contractual disputes, TPD, and QCAT claims.

'While many legal disputes have similarities, they are all unique. My approach is to identify core issues in each matter at the outset. This ensures that time and costs are utilised in the most effective manner, which produces a speedy and desirable resolution for my clients.'

Krishna holds a Bachelor of Laws - LLB and a Diploma of Legal Practice. He is a member of the Queensland Law Society and Sunshine Coast Law Association.
