Kim Lamb
Principal

Kim is a Principal in our Family Law team and is based in the Melbourne office.
Since her admission in 2012, Kim has practiced exclusively in family law, representing a diverse range of clients across all aspects of family and relationship law.
She has particular expertise in acting for high-net-worth individuals, including those with complex corporate and trust structures. Her experience spans intricate parenting matters such as international and interstate relocation, changes in residence, and cases involving family violence, as well as the preparation and negotiation of financial agreements, including pre-nuptial and cohabitation agreements.
Kim also brings extensive litigation experience, having appeared in interim and final defended hearings (covering parenting, property, and enforcement of financial agreements), undefended final hearings, and appeals.
She is acutely aware of the emotional, financial, and broader personal toll that separation can have on families and is committed to helping her clients navigate and resolve all aspects of their separation with confidence and clarity.
'I feel privileged to work with clients at one of the most difficult times they will experience, and to be entrusted by them with the most personal and sensitive aspects of their lives, and in many cases, those of their children. I aim to provide clients with clear, considered and pragmatic advice that has regard to their underlying needs and what they ultimately hope to achieve when re-establishing themselves. Where appropriate, I hope to achieve flexible and creative solutions for families and to tailor the processes they participate in to achieve prompt and personalised outcomes resolving all aspects arising from the breakdown of a relationship.'
Kim works collaboratively with clients to achieve negotiated resolutions wherever possible, recognising that such agreements often offer greater flexibility to meet the unique needs of each family. However, Kim also understands that litigation is sometimes necessary. In those circumstances, she draws on her extensive experience in initiating and responding to applications in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
