Hannah Shiel

Hannah specialises in health law and professional indemnity insurance, including advising practitioners in coronial inquests.

Hannah has extensive experience defending professional negligence claims against medical practitioners and allied health practitioners in the District and Supreme Courts. She also has a strong background in advising medical practitioners and other health professionals across the regulatory framework.

Prior to joining BN, Hannah spent three years in-house at a medical indemnity insurer in the professional conduct team, assisting medical practitioners in their matters with AHPRA, the Medical Council of NSW and the Health Care Complaints Commission.
