Georgia Edwards

Georgia Edwards is a Senior Associate in our Family Law team and is based in the Brisbane office.

Georgia specialises in:

• Assisting clients to navigate direct or solicitor-led financial and/or parenting negotiations.
• Dispute resolution (mediation, conciliation conferences, arbitration).
• Preparing complex settlement documents (consent orders, financial agreements, binding child support agreements and parenting plans).
• Assisting clients to finalise their divorce.
• Advising clients in respect of pre-separation asset protection.
• Litigation involving complex financial matters (property settlements, spousal maintenance, and adult child maintenance).

Georgia acts for and provides advice to current spouses, former spouses and parents approaching or going through their separation. With the benefit of a major in Accounting, Georgia has a particular interest in assisting small business owners and professionals to reach a financial outcome.

Having practiced exclusively in family law since her admission in 2015, in both boutique and national firms, Georgia has experience in a wide variety of family law matters.

Georgia’s focus is to assist her clients to, where possible and appropriate, avoid drawn-out and expensive litigation. Georgia has a particular interest in mediation and arbitration as dispute resolution tools to achieve an outcome.

Georgia holds a Bachelor of Laws – LLB, Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Bond University. She is a member of the Family Law Practitioners Association and Queensland Law Society.
