Dian brings extensive expertise in public and product liability, as well as complex property damage claims, and providing detailed policy coverage advice.
Dian advises her clients on indemnity, quantum, and liability issues related to claims across several industries but particularly labour hire, construction and infrastructure, sport leisure and entertainment, and manufacturing. Her property damage practice includes handling intricate construction disputes, claims under sections s157 and s16 of the Water Act, Victorian Building Authority plumbers warranty claims, demolition and protection works claims, and recoveries.
Dian also has extensive experience in subrogated recoveries and has defended third parties in WorkCover recovery proceedings pursuant to section 369 of the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 (Vic).
Dian acts for domestic and global insurers, self-insured corporations, and statutory authorities. She regularly advises businesses in sectors such as construction, healthcare, sport leisure and entertainment, agriculture, and property management. Her experience spans claims involving public buildings, hospitals, nursing homes, car parks, and office complexes, as well as contractors and in-home care providers.
