Charmaine specialises in commercial litigation, focusing on professional indemnity, transaction liability, directors and officers, management liability, public liability risks and defamation. She also advises insurers on coverage issues.

Charmaine acts for national and global insurers in relation to disputes throughout Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. She represents a range of professionals, across multiple industries and sectors, including financial services professionals, brokers, barristers, construction professionals and directors.

Charmaine has appeared as defence counsel in litigation in the Superior Courts of New South Wales and Australia, as well as the Federal Court of Australia.

I enjoy working closely with my clients to resolve commercial disputes in providing strategic, practical, and tailored legal solutions.

Prior to joining Barry Nilsson, Charmaine worked for seven years at an international law firm, primarily focused on professional indemnity, transaction liability and public liability disputes.
