Cameron specialises in civil litigation and insurance related disputes, with over 30 years of experience acting in some of Western Australia’s most high-profile and high-value insurance litigation.

Cameron advises on matters involving professional negligence, directors and officers, and defamation. He has acted in statutory investigations and prosecutions concerning workplace duties, environmental damage, and Corporations Act breaches. Cameron also has significant experience in casualty claims, including tetraplegia cases linked to infrastructure use, and serious accidents near mining operations in Australia and Africa.

Cameron’s expertise includes defending building and construction disputes, managing third-party damage claims, and handling mass tort and class actions arising from flooding, fire, and planning decisions. He has managed Industrial Special Risks claims involving gold mines in Kalgoorlie, refinery losses in the Solomon Islands, and multimillion-dollar disputes in the Philippines. Additionally, Cameron has advised on catastrophic losses such as wildfires, major mining and energy claims, and one of the largest offshore gas platform losses globally.

Cameron acts for a broad range of clients, including Lloyd’s Syndicate insurers, local and state governments, statutory corporations, and their insurers, as well as private companies, and major contractors in the energy and resources sector. His clients span the mining, construction, hospitality, and infrastructure industries.

Cameron regularly appears in Supreme and District Court actions and has successfully defended high-value claims in the Federal Court of Australia.
