Bianca Ponting

Bianca has been practising insurance law since 2009 and provides advice in relation to all aspects of casualty claims including general liability, product liability, and property damage as well as policy coverage issues.
Bianca has a diverse range of experience which includes defending personal injury and professional indemnity claims. She advises on complex construction and labour hire disputes, assessing damages for catastrophic injuries, nervous shock, and property damage losses. In addition, she advises on prospects of success for recovery actions, and pursues subrogated recovery claims.
Bianca acts for local authorities, insurers, and a diverse range of businesses across sectors such as construction, hospitality, retail, and manufacturing. She regularly represents importers, manufacturers, and suppliers, as well as hoteliers, shopping centres, construction contractors and companies.

Bianca is experienced in conducting mediations and appearing in all court jurisdictions in Queensland. She also has experience in managing personal injury liability claims in New South Wales, Western Australia, Tasmania, and the Northern Territory. Bianca has written and presented a number of papers on case law as well as specific insurance issues and litigation generally.
