Amanda has specialised in insurance law since commencing her legal career, with a focus on personal injury litigation. She handles a wide range of claims, including public liability and matters under the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 (Vic). Amanda is well-versed in both litigated and non-litigated proceedings, regularly appearing in the County and Supreme Courts of Victoria.
Amanda’s portfolio has a particular focus on acting for national insurers and insureds in the building and construction industry. Beyond this, she acts for clients across a diverse range of sectors, including facilities management, meat processing and abattoirs, energy providers, and recreational service operators. This experience has equipped her with a nuanced understanding of the unique risks and regulatory challenges faced by each industry, allowing her to deliver tailored, strategic advice.
‘I love working in personal injury as every case has its nuances and complexities, from a slip and trip to a multi-party litigated matter. Each case is unique and requires a tailored analysis and strategy.’
Amanda is recognised for her collaborative, client-focused approach. She takes pride in building trusted relationships with insured clients, ensuring they feel supported throughout the litigation process. By taking the time to understand each client’s operations and clearly explain the legal framework, she is able to develop a comprehensive view of each matter and identify the strongest foundation on which to defend a claim.
